Selected Studies in Transportation Law: Volume 1, Construction Contract Law (CD-ROM)

This CD-ROM contains Volume 1 of the six volume collection contained in the "Selected Studies in Transportation Law" (SSTL), published jointly by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) and the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP). Volume 1 of the SSTL is a revision of "Selected Studies in Highway Law," (SSHL) Volume 3. Much has changed since Volume 3 of the SSHL was published in 1978. First, the body of states' statutory and case law has developed significantly in recent years. Second, construction contract claims and other construction-related problems consume a great deal more attention and have become a more integral part of the construction process. This has necessitated a contract planning to contract completion organization of this volume. Accordingly, this volume is organized into seven sections: (1) The Transportation Construction Contract; (2) Contractor Licensing, Qualifications, and Bond Requirements; (3) Bidder Mistake and Remedies; (4) Disadvantaged Business and Labor Requirements; (5) Contract Modifications and Delays; (6) Construction Claims and Litigation; and (7) Owners' Rights and Remedies and Alternatives to Litigation.
