Shipboard Automatic Identification System Displays: Meeting the Needs of Mariners

This report, prepared by the Committee for Evaluating Shipboard Display of Automatic Identification Systems, provides a critical examination of the technical and human factors aspects of shipboard display of Automatic Identification System (AIS) information. This examination has resulted in recommendations that the United States Coast Guard can use in the development of domestic requirements and in its participation in international rulemaking and standards development.
